YOGA ASANA & PRANAYAMA
During the retreats asana and pranayama practice is the first of the key features which have a direct impact on your well-being. To calm down your mind, to strengthen, but also to relax the entire body, you get a daily practice of various asanas chosen particularly for those who struggle with emotional tensions, anxiety or depression, or are simply looking for relaxation. We planned our sessions in a way which helps improve your digestive and cardiovascular function, heal back pain and spondylitis, remove acidity, lower your blood pressure, and reduce the symptoms of  diabetes.

MEDITATION
Meditation is a significant part of Yoga practice, and therefore, a crucial aspect of our retreats. There is a number of meditation techniques coming from different traditions, both ancient spiritualism as well as modern science. At the retreat, participants become familiar with many of these techniques, and consequently get a chance to experience a variety of meditative states to choose the one that best suits their personality, and be able to incorporate it in one’s own daily practice. You will be guided through active (including movement) and passive (seated, lying down) meditation. Introducing you to active and passive forms of meditation, among others, we teach the following:

• Cyclic meditation
• Chakra Meditations
• Kundalini meditation
• Mind to No-Mind meditation

AYURVEDIC SARVANGA ABHYANGA – FULL BODY MASSAGE
Dating as far back as 3000 BC, Ayurvedic massage has been used in a relatively unchanged form to release energy blockage from the body. This unique technique allows your energy (prana) to flow freely through the body, reestablishing harmony and balance. Ayurveda recognises 7 main chakras, points where a number of energy channels (nadis) meet. When in balance, the chakras are responsible for our well-being, both physical and psychological, while any excess or deficiency at this subtle level can lead to ill health. During the retreats, this ancient Ayurvedic treatment involving massage of the whole body with warm oil is applied to eliminate toxins, purify and calm you down.

AYURVEDIC DIET

According to Ayurveda an aware and peaceful self depends heavily on food that will promote certain qualities and curb other. Food has the capacity to stimulate, repair and rejuvenate the body, and therefore, it is vital to identify your constitution (dosha) to understand which types of food serve you and which don’t. During our retreats, every participant gets a consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor to develop that awareness. The food prepared at the retreats is based on these Ayurvedic principles to maximise the potential of recovery and general well-being.

REIKI

At the heart of this simple holistic natural Japanese healing technique for reducing stress lies the notion of life force Ki. Low levels of this energy are believed to be responsible for becoming ill and stressed. Reiki treatment involves the healer transferring energy to the person being treated in order to increase the potential of emotional and/or physical healing. During the retreat each participant receives one session of this special treatment.
