What is Laughter Yoga? 

Laughter yoga is the rather peculiar experience of laughing deliberately. What happens once you start laughing – you’ll have to see! It involves exercises to increase the happy hormones and suppress the stress ones -effectively bringing you the same benefits as involuntary laughter. 

Benefits of Laughter Yoga

Laughter is our best tool to combat stress, reduce anxiety, strengthen our immune system and essentially lift our mood which has ripple like effects – shifting our perspective on our experience of life, transforming our relationships with those around us and ultimately giving us a renewed sense of being. Besides the research and studies, we all know from sheer personal experience, that there’s nothing quite as pleasurable as a good laugh!

How

Sessions are typically in 5 parts :

● Introduction

● Warm-up (a series of exercises for movement and breathing techniques)

● Playful exercises

● Laughter

● Debrief – if you can contain yourself!
